Dear Authors & WG I reviewed the latest version 19 of the draft below and I believe it is reads very well and is ready and mature for WGLC. Many thanks to the authors and contributors.
I would like to add to the draft a summary of all the SRPM capabilities and applications of SRPM in SR networks. My recommendation below for updates to Abstract, Introduction and anywhere else in the draft where appropriate. SRPM SR performance measurements plays a very critical role in many aspects of segment routing use cases with core & dc networks, transport and AN networks wireless 5G mobile core and wireline / wireless convergence broadband networks. SRPMs crucial role is with SPRING SR policy endpoint liveliness detection or wan link delay measurement using PTP and SyncE clock synchronization between sender and reflector with STAMP one-way (T2-T1), two-way modes for probe timestamp in PM packets resulting in end to end IGP real time latency metric. SRPM can be used in place of S-BFD for SR Policy endpoint liveliness detection. SRPM endpoint monitoring provides considerable granularity in SR sid list awareness for bidirectional path with reverse path labels with SR-MPLS or SRv6 reverse path flow labels. SRPM is applicable to both L2 VPN and L3 VPN SR-MPLS or SRv6 networks and can be applied to SR-MPLS or SRv6 underlay networks as well as L2 and L3 VPN overlay networks endpoint services monitoring. SRPM is applicable to Flex algo network slicing with disjoint networks single color per link algo plane or network slicing with link coloring multiple colors per algo plane FAD latency metric with SR-MPLS and SRv6 with both L2 VPN and L3 VPN networks both service route overlay and underlay SRPM monitoring capabilities. SRPM is also applicable to link affinity admin groups using latency metric. SRPM is also applicable to SR Policy SR-TE TEDs dynamic cSPF local or PCE computed sid list with latency metric. Kind Regards Gyan
