Dear all,

A new revision of draft-dong-spring-srv6-inter-layer-programming has been
uploaded to address the comments received during and after IETF 120. Thanks
again to all the reviewers.

The major changes in this version are as below:

1. Clarifies the scope of this document is SRv6 based inter-layer path
programming.

2. Clarifies the target network scenario is where IP and its underlay network
are under the same administration.

3. Some editorial changes.

The authors believe this version is ready for WG adoption, and would like to
solicit WG chairs to initiate the adoption call process. Many thanks.

Best regards,
Jie (on behalf of coauthors)

Abstract:

The Segment Routing over IPv6 (SRv6) Network Programming framework
enables a network operator or an application to specify a packet
processing program by encoding a sequence of instructions in the IPv6
   packet header.

Following the SRv6 Network Programming concept, this document defines
SRv6 based mechanisms for inter-layer network programming, which can
help to integrate the packet network layer with its underlying layers
efficiently. New SRv6 behaviors used for steering packets to
underlay links or connections are defined for inter-layer path
programming, and the applicability of these SRv6 behaviors in typical
   scenarios is illustrated.
