Hi All, As a co-author, I support the WG adoption. Regarding questions 1 and 2: Yes, the both drafts are necessary. These two proposals represent two completely different solutions for different application scenarios. Draft-cheng-rtgwg-srv6-multihome-egress-protection-05 provides a data plane method in line with the SR design principle, suitable for scenarios where routers have the flexibility in data plane programming; draft-ietf-rtgwg-srv6-egress-protection-16 offers a control plane extension solution, suitable for scenarios where control plane software upgrades are convenient. Regarding question 3: Multiple device manufacturers and chip vendors have implemented the technical solution described in draft-cheng-rtgwg-srv6-multihome-egress-protection-05, and China Mobile has conducted lab tests, with results meeting expectations.
I am not aware of any undisclosed IPR.
