This patches were also pending for some time and the patches were distributed in two mail threads and for that reason I'm puting them here in (another) thread :) This first three patches were attached to Christophe's email [0], the last patch is the v7 from Michal [1]. I did not change them in any way at this moment. I've only small comments to the patches but IMHO these can be addressed before pushing if nobody complains.
