You cannot I'm afraid USB mass storage devices can only handle one command at a time, so what happens is: send command, wait reply, send command, wait reply Normally this is reasonable quick, but with usb redirection added to the loop atleast 1 ms of latency gets inserted after each step, making things slow, esp. when there is a lot of small packets going back and forth. Still 1 minute seems quite long. Is this with a windows or a Linux guest? With Linux guests usb sticks come up in a couple of seconds for me.
