I tried on another client, over ethernet (directly connected to the server through a Gigabit Switch, no expected loss) : the bug still happens. I did not trigger it in the console however (although I did not spend so much time in the console : I'm really not used to vi... But by comparison with my tests over X, the bug should have appeared I think). About you question "is it a specific key" : I can say that I noticed that (at least) for the following : -normal key press -baskspace -return -Ctrl+Z (lots of edits got cancelled at once!) -Ctrl+Y (same thing : edits got resumed) -Alt+arrow left/right (in eclipse : previous/next location) I hope this will help!
