Hi,

I think option 1 is good solution for your case. But you need to
resolve cross references by 2 phase. The first one is "full" resolve;
which expands the xref to full description. The 2nd is "simple"
resolve. It only resolves a xref to hyperlink.

So adding custom transform will help you.
