Hi Adam,
Sphinx release model is that only one major series is supported
at one time. Currently we are in the 1.7.x series. There will
be no update to previous major series like 1.6.x, 1.5.x, 1.4.x,..
When 1.8.x series will be initiated there will be at most one
last update to 1.7.x series. After that only 1.8.x branch
will receive bug updates.
What I describe above is the policy regarding bug fixes.
