Hi, At present, latex_show_urls creates auto-numbered footnotes (ex. [#]_). So their number starts after explicitly numbered footnotes (ex. [1]_). I guess your document already has 42 explicitly numbered footnotes.
Agreed. I also feel this is ugly. Please file a proposal.
