Hi, I'm on the verge of having marketing folks here move from an (MS) Office-based documentation strategy to Sphinx. Everybody sees the point of using a tool like Sphinx even if it means not having a WYSIWYG editor anymore and reading "source" instead of nicely formatted text (which is a major achievement for people used to the office suite). We've set up 1.2b3 on a test machine and the one issue we have is the quick search box with an exact query. For example, is there a way to search pages for "this string only" and return only pages that have "this string only" and not pages that would have "this blabla string more blabla only" or at least sort the results to show the most relevant search results first, in this case the exact match ? I didn't find much in the documentation in the way of an "advanced search" box or ways to change its behavior.
For example, if I search for "can also" in http://sphinx-doc.org/ I would expect to get the results where the two words appear in that order (exact match) first and then results sorted somehow (e.g. word proximity with respect to word order or not etc.) Ideally I'd like to get rid of all non exact matches but I would live with a proper sort order. Thanx for pointers. Yves -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sphinx-users" group.
