Bingo! Now for the (somewhat off-topic) follow-up: When selinux was in enforcing model I did not see any errors to /var/log/audit/audit.log, nor did setroubleshootd/sealert complain. With selinux in permissive mode, I still don't see any errors or warnings; but spamdyke happily does RDNS lookups. You wouldn't by any chance know how to tweak selinux to allow RDNS calls?
