I think I saw your question on this list before. > I am trying to install SpamAssassin 2.63 under SunOS 5.9 by making libsnp.a; Why do you try to build libsnp.a on SunOS 5.9/Solaris 9? Solaris has had snprintf() at least since release 2.6 (also called SunOS 5.6): http://docs.sun.com/db/doc/802-5747-03/6i9g1bi6k?q=snprintf&a=view I have built SA numerous times on Solaris 8 and 9 without the need to use libsnp.a. The note in the INSTALL document about SunOS refers to the "original" SunOS, ie SunOS 4.x.y which was the BSD-based predecessor of the current Solaris product (aka SunOS 5.x). See the quote in INSTALL of Mike Nolan's message: "I built SpamAssassin under SunOS 4.1.3.
