hello,

1. I think perl2pod is a package. What installation of linux do you have ?
Is it slackware ? Gentoo ?
Try finding "perl2pod" as a package on the installation cd's , e.g. :

# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom <enter>
(hdb being primary-slave, maybe is hdc or hdd)
# cd /mnt/cdrom <enter>
# find . -depth -name "perl2pod*" -print | more <enter>

That should try and find any file called "perl2pod*" in "/mnt/cdrom"
Give it some time. It should come back with the file location.

2. Yourperl version is fine. I have exactly the same version and
   it works like a charm.

HTH,

s.

Looks good

Warning: I could not locate your pod2man program. Please make sure,
your pod2man program is in your PATH before you execute 'make'

[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail-SpamAssassin-2.63]# make
Makefile:94: *** missing separator. Stop.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail-SpamAssassin-2.63]# which pod2man
/usr/bin/pod2man

Here's an excerpt of Makefile from around the location of the error:

     85 installvendorlib='/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.
     86 INSTALLVENDORLIB = ib/perl5'
     87 installusrbinperl='def
     88 INSTALLARCHLIB = /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi
     89 INSTALLSITEARCH = /usr/lib
     90 INSTALLVENDORARCH = /usr/lib/perl5/ven
     91 INSTALLBIN = /usr/bin'
     92 installhtml1dir=''
     93 installhtml3dir=''
     94 installman1
     95 INSTALLSITEBIN = /usr
     96 INSTALLVENDORBIN = /usr/bin'
     97 installvendorhtml1=''

The Makefile seems all messed up. The single quotes seem unbalanced,
for example...

Any idea what's going on?
