Working great here - about 100 active accounts now on a small mail server, SuSE 9.0. If your MTA uses spamd we found that the startup script for SuSE 8.2 located at http://devel-home.kde.org/~kmail/unsupported/spamd works great.
We install only from cpan for SA on SuSE 9. No issues at all. Looking at changing from Redhat 9.0 to new hardware and thought given the redhat/fedora support/lifespam issues I'd look at Suse.. seems well regarded, well supported and has newbie-friendly admin tools even in console mode.. Any thoughts on the simplest way of installing spamassassin _and_ keeping it current? On Redhat I used CPAN, no problems with it, guess I'm not 100% sure on the benefits of doing it using CPAN vs RPM. Any other "gotchas" with Suse and Spamassassin that I should know of? Quick search of the archives didn't turn much up but it may be a case of knowing what to look for.. regards, Paul -- Paul Hutchings Network Administrator, MIRA Ltd.
