I'm trying to setup spamassassin to operate in an environment where the mail server has no local users. I've set the flags on spamd to :
-c -x --virtual-config-dir=/etc/mail/spamassassin/users/%u
The man page for spamd says that this directory will be created if it doesn't exist, which is ideal since I don't want to have to create one for each user. However, it doesn't seem to be happening.
If I create that directory and put a user_prefs file in it all seems to work, but if it doesn't exist spamd won't create it. The directory /etc/mail/spamassassin/users is set to 1777 permission (drwxrwxrwt) so it shouldn't be a permission problem.
Is there something else I need to do to get spamd to create the directory?
