Hello Spam Neutralizers!

I now understand that there is a bug in SpamAssassin Re: trusted_hosts and whitelist_from_rcvd.

The buggy behavior of checking only whitelist_from_rcvd if the ip is not in trusted_hosts means that
whitelist_from_rcvd [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailhost.company.com
means that mailhost.clinedavis.com's ip can not be in trusted_hosts until the bug has been fixed.

So my question is how do I use whitelist_from_rcvd for now? If I leave trusted_hosts blank, then does that mean that it will not check properly the mail supposedly from mailhost.company.com but came from another place? Also, what else does trusted_hosts control, besides black hole lists? Maybe it is best that I come up with a home spun rule?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

jg
