I'm not that fluent in SA's internals but I'll give it a try;

I think it is matching:

   From
   Envelope-Sender
   Resent-Sender
   X-Envelope-From
   Return-Path
   Resent-From

In both example emails:

   Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
