Try running amavisd in debug. The command is:Hey all, I recently started experiencing a weird issue. Upon upgrading to SA 2.61 and amavisd-new-20030616-p7, SA is no longer checking my mail. I am using a sendmail-milter setup. My log files simple shows:
Jan 6 13:44:35 gozer amavis[4809]: (XXWs89uW) spam_scan: hits=0 tests=
Everything else seems to be working okay (AV, etc). Another weird thing is that Amavis reports SA version 2.55 upon startup, yet 2.61 has been installed (upgraded via CPAN) and there are no other spamc, spamd, or spamassassin executables anywhere on the system, which is running redhat 9. I don't remember if there used to be a spamd process running all the time, but there isn't now.
amavisd debug amavisd debug-sa
When you do that, it will show you which version of SA it is loading. Also, spamd would not be running. Amavisd loads spamassassin into it when it runs, so no need to run spamd. Somewhere it is finding SA 2.55. Since Amavisd does not depend on the SA executables, maybe just the ruleset is at version 2.55? Might want to try re-installing from source. Maybe CPAN screwed it up. I've gone away from trusting CPAN 100% myself.
