Hmmm- unless I missed something (and I MAY have) setting a score of 0
doesn't disable. The rule is still run - it just doesn't effect the score,
the only think that removes a rule is removing the rule - and then the code
is still compiled, it just isn't run - would be a neat idea - but IIRC, the
disable concept was deems a very difficult change... Another possibility,
might be a structural change to the creation of "runtime" libraries based on
valid (non-zero) scores by copying over the appropriate functions - kind of
an autoconf thing - would probably also be very difficult though.

Subject: [SAtalk] Auto disable rules...

This would be a neat feature add-on for SA:

- Mail gets scanned by SA, log written to syslog
- Hit freqs get parsed in real-time and written to a mySQL table
- All rules are in another mySQL table, including custom rules
- Once a week a cron job kicks off and compares hit frequencies with
rules base
- Rules with hit frequencies of zero get a score of 0 (disable) using an
autogenerated .cf

This would be much easier if rules could be stored in a my SQL db

Has anyone done this? I must have hundreds of rules that never get hit
and it would be better than doing this by hand...
