I recently split out my CF file into multiple files.

Ex. whitelist.cf, blacklist.cf, bigevil.cf, evilrules.cf, etc.

Will this noticably degrade system performance?

Thanks,

I've not notice any performance decrease due to having multiple cf files, and afaik, spamd loads all the rules when you start it. I have a whole bunch to make management easier. I also preface all my custom rules with CUST_name. so it's easy to see how effective they are.

I would share my custom rules.. but alas against those here, mine are mostly worthless and adjust scores down because of "complaints"

I have:

local.cf <-- used for SA configuration options
customrbl.cf <-- used for custom rbls
custombodyrules.cf <-- my own custom body rules
customheaderrules.cf <--- custom header rules
customurirules.cf <--- custom uri rules
customtestrules.cf <--- where I put rules I'm testing out
custommeta.cf <-- my own custom meta rules
scoreadjustment.cf <--- Score adjustments of the built in SA rules
customwhitelist.cf <-- Custom White Lists
customblacklist.cf <--- Custom Black lists
bigevil.cf <-- the wonderful big evil rule list
jpopcorn.cf <-- Jenn's wonderful popcorn rules
jweeds.cf <-- Jenn's wonderful Weed rules
jblackhair.cf <-- jenn's wonderful blackhair rules
jchickenpox.cf <-- Jenn's chickenpox rules
