Hello, I have installed the 2.60-1.backports.org.1 package from www.backports.org on Debian Woody. I was previously running 2.55 that I had compiled from the Debian sources with no problems.
Now when a spammy message is scanned, I see the following in /var/log/mail.log Dec 19 16:23:39 modwoody spamd[1490]: Use of uninitialized value in string ne at /usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/Resolver.pm line 845, <GEN15> line 140. I checked the FAQ's and archives but couldn't find anything about this. One person suggested removing the -w from /usr/sbin/spamd. I see that spamd 2.60 uses #!/usr/bin/perl -T -w whereas 2.55 uses just #!/usr/bin/perl. Is this something to be concerned about? If so, how can it be fixed? Other than the warning, spamassassin 2.60 backport seems to be working correctly. Thanks for any help! Please reply directly, I'm not subscribed to the list.
