I am running exim 4.12 with exiscan and spamassassin 6.1

The list of TESTS in X-Spam-Report header never includes BAYES and also
the bayes score from _BAYES_ is always 0.5000. From this i gather that the
bayes database is not being used?

not sure exactly what spamassassin -D --lint is showing me but it all
looks happy - here are all the metions of bayes from that :

debug: bayes: 10056 tie-ing to DB file R/O /opt/perl/share/bayes_toks
debug: bayes: 10056 tie-ing to DB file R/O /opt/perl/share/bayes_seen
debug: bayes: found bayes db version 2
....
debug: bayes token 'N:H*m:NNNNNNNNNN' => 0.00444628099173554
debug: bayes token 'somewhat' => 0.0691393284195085
debug: bayes token 'H*F:D*org' => 0.12724817464839
debug: bayes token 'body' => 0.143997761156508
debug: bayes: score = 0.00135573830943347
debug: bayes: 10056 untie-ing
debug: bayes: 10056 untie-ing db_toks
debug: bayes: 10056 untie-ing db_seen
....
and right at the end ......
debug: running meta tests; score so far=2.077
debug: is spam? score=-2.823 required=5
tests=BAYES_00,DATE_MISSING,NO_REAL_NAME

can anyone suggest why bayes might not be being used ?

many thanks,
Alexei.
