Dec 16 06:39:54 gateway spamd[9846]: Cannot open bayes databases /var/empty/.spamassassin/bayes_* R/W: lock failed: File exists
Anyone else see this? Thanks!
lock failures reported by spamd on occasion are somewhat normal.. It happens when spamd tries to opportunistically auto-learn or run bayes expiry, but another instance is already doing something of the same sort.
Make sure that you can do something like sa-learn -D --force-expire without major complaints about the lockfile..
If that complains, you've probably got a lockfile left over from a run of SA that crashed.. shut down all your SA tools, delete *.lock and restart em.. (note: shutdown isn't strictly required, BUT it does avoid a lot of potential cases of race conditions and database corruption).
