My understansing of autowhitelisting is that it flattens score spikes towards a long term average based on the sender. Which is obviously not what is happening here...
Anyone have any ideas what's going wrong, and how to fix it?
What version are you using? Older pre 2.6x versions had problems where GTUBE would contribute to your AWL average. Anyone sending a GTUBE message would effectively get blacklisted for a long time.
If you have the unpacked tarball, there is a "tools" subdirectory.. in there is a tool called "check_whitelist" you can run that and it will print the contents of your AWL database. it's a one-line per sender thing, reporting email address, IP address, average score, and number of messages averaged.
If that one person's average is way off, you can reset it with spamassassin [EMAIL PROTECTED]
And in the meantime, how do I turn the AWL off?
in 2.6x it's use_auto_whitelist 0 in 2.5x, stop passing -a on the command line.
