Hmmm. That would be quite a problem as I had set the amavis user as non-loggable. Anyway, I tried this amavisd debug-sa and it seems to be working now.

If not, log on as the user that spamassassin runs as, and try the test again. ----Original Message----- From: Fritz Mesedilla [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Yes I have dB_file installed (version 1.806). My amavisd-new is running under amavis. my $MYHOME var is set to its default (/var/amavis). These are what are under /var/amavis/.spamassassin/ -rw------- 1 amavis amavis 86016 Nov 25 15:15 bayes_seen -rw------- 1 amavis amavis 1282048 Nov 25 15:15 bayes_toks -rw-r--r-- 1 amavis amavis 1165 Nov 14 13:47 user_prefs It was 15:18 when I got the files listed above. Does this mean it is working since the files have been updated? Then how do I find out if how many it has logged or "learned" I tried sa-learn --dump all Use of uninitialized value in numeric lt (<) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/Mail/SpamAssassin/BayesStore.pm line 1281. 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: bayes db version 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: nspam 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: nham 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: ntokens 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: oldest atime 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: current scan-count 0.000 0 0 0 non-token data: last expiry atime Cheers, fritz <www.mesedilla.com> --- + Basta Ikaw Lord -----Original Message----- From: Casper Gasper [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2003 1:22 AM To: Fritz Mesedilla Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [SAtalk] bayes learning > debug: bayes: no dbs present, cannot scan: > /root/.spamassassin/bayes_toks Have you got the DB_File module installed? You need it for bayes. I take it you're running Amavisd-new as a non-root user? That user has to be able to read bayes_toks and bayes_seen. What's your $MYHOME var set to in amavisd.conf? For me it's '/var/amavis' and under that dir I have my .spamassassin folder with bayes_toks and bayes_seen inside.
