What is the difference between .spamassassin's user_prefs:
# How many hits before a mail is considered spam.
# required_hits 5
And amavisd-new's
# default values, can be overridden by more specific lookups, e.g. SQL
#$sa_tag_level_deflt = 0; # add spam info headers if at, or above that level
$sa_tag2_level_deflt = 6.3; # add 'spam detected' headers at that level
$sa_kill_level_deflt = $sa_tag2_level_deflt; # triggers spam evasive actions
# at or above that level: bounce/reject/drop,
# quarantine, and adding mail address extension
Sometimes I see spam get through with a score of:
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=5.7 tagged_above=0.0 required=6.3
tests=NIGERIAN_BODY1, NIGERIAN_BODY2, NIGERIAN_BODY3, SUBJ_ALL_CAPS,
US_DOLLARS_3
X-Spam-Level: *****
Does this mean I need to set them at the same score of 5 to make it work properly?
Because when mail is caught as spam and sent to my postmaster alert account I get this:
Content analysis details: (35.8 points, 5.0 required)
And with bayes_learning not working for me right now. What can I do? :D
Can I safely lower amavisd-new's tag2 level to 5? I hope no legit mail gets caught.
