Here is the spamd README: http://spamassassin.taint.org/full/2.6x/dist/spamd/README.spamd That should get you started. spamd (SpamAssassin daemon) is a daemon that runs in the background and processes requests from spamc (SpamAssassin client). It is more efficient to uses spamd than to fire off a new spamassassin for every email.
