I'm currently on version 2.53, and am going to install 2.6 on my machine this weekend. It's a RH 8.0 machine.
My question/concern is ... are there any known "gotcha's" in this move? It's a production machine, so I have to be very careful. Any forewarning you might give would be very much appreciated.
Also, will my local.cf be useless after the install? It has a lot of tests that no longer show up
in the "tests" page at SA.org. I'm told the tests that are advertised at the website are for the current version, and when I search for things, I find nothing. Will I have to find scoring by learning the methods the bastards are getting around, like I do now, but from scratch? I've built up some 50 additional score increases over the past 3 months, in an effort to keep our clients happy. It would be a shame to have to abandon all of them and find that I'm back to square one and they are deluged with spam again.
