I am installing 2.60-1 via RPM packages on a redhat 7.2 system, and running into dependency problems. Putting all three packages (spamassassin, perl-Mail-SpamAssassin and spamassassin tools) on the same command line still gave dependency errors, so I installed those 3 packages with nodeps. Errors in the logs indicated that dependencies were not satisfied, so I added rpm packages for perl-HTML-Tagset, perl-HTML-Parser and perl-MIME-Base64. SA appears to work now, based on a test message being correctly marked.
Doesn't the perl-Mail-SpamAssassin package contain all of the dependencies required by spamassassin? I wish to add DNS capability, but perl-Net-DNS requires perl-Digest-HMAC-MD5. I found a package called perl-Digest and installed it, but it did not satisfy the dependency. Can somebody steer me to the correct package for perl-Digest-HMAC-MD5? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: ApacheCon 2003, 16-19 November in Las Vegas.
