What are you trying to say? Is this the output of ls -l on your
system? The "l" in "lrwxrwxrwx" indicates that what you have is indeed
a symbolic link. Also try dpkg -S /etc/mail/spamassassin

As a general comment, if a Debian package installed something which
isn't a conffile, you shouldn't mess with it, because that may prevent
you from upgrading or even removing the package. If you don't like the
way it is, create your own Debian package, or file a bug and hope that
the maintainer will change it to your liking in a future version.
