Thanks to Brian and Pedro who pointed out that it is in the start up call that the AWL is invoked. I have taken out the --whitelist option in the spamd file in init.d and I also commented out the auto_whitelist_path variable in the configuration file. It seems to have done the trick. Though it is still a bit soon to say if this will help the situation.

Hi,

I want to turn off AWL and the only thing I have found so far is to set the auto_whitelist_factor to 0 but it seems like that might not really turn it off completely. Can anone suggest a better way?

Thanks,
Lois
