I've recently found a great user interface, but don't know what it is using. I needed to lower the spam rate for my grandfather. 110.net was purchased by ici.net, who was then owned by conversant. *sigh*
Anywho mail.110.net has a login and then a VERY nice interface for not only whitelisting, but righting what looks like procmail rules for deleting or saving spam and whitelisting. Very nice. You may want to contact someone over there and find out what they are doing. The site points to mail.conversent.net. But you can't get in without a login. But they run 2.53 :( But at least they are running SA!
