Hi List, It seems that I have the same problem that Marco Calistri described a couple of days ago in his posting "[SAtalk] My first question here[SA & DCC]" (message-id:[EMAIL PROTECTED]).
I installed DCC and enabled it in my conf, with a timeout of 15 seconds. I used my config for about a month now, and no FPs nor FNs have occurred. Very good. What makes me a bit curious is, that I never see any DCC points assigned to spam - never! I reviewed them all. When I installed DCC, I tested dccproc as a shell-application and it worked - when I use the GTUBE-testspam with 'spamassassin -D -t' I can see that dcc is used and is assigning points. So I was wondering why DCC won't assign a single point during more than a month of daily spamd work, whereas Pyzor & Razor2 are giving points every day. Then I read Marco's posting mentioned above, where he had the same problem. Mark Kettler pointed out to run spamd in console mode, which I did today (spamd -D) - and.. - during that run, DCC worked. Here is the part of the log: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- debug: DCC is available: /usr/local/bin/dccproc debug: entering helper-app run mode Warning: unable to close filehandle DCC properly. debug: DCC: got response: X-DCC-SINECTIS-Metrics: zeus 1114; IP=ok Body=69 Fuz1=69 Fuz2=81 debug: leaving helper-app run mode ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, this one wasn't spam, but there was a spam during that run and I got the following line in that spams summary: '2.9 DCC_CHECK Aufgelistet im DCC-System (http://rhyolite.com/anti- spam/dcc/)' Ok, so why is DCC working in debug-console-mode, but isn't in daemon- mode? What is that warning about the filehandle supposed to mean? I'm connected to the net via a 56k-modem line only (no broadband- connection available where I live), could it be a timeout? 15 seconds should be more than enough, don't they? If it should be a timeout, why isn't this timeout going to interrupt the DCC connection during the 'spamd -D'-run? 15 seconds are 15 seconds? ciao, Robert, a bit puzzled -- .robert.krueger.
