I know this:

SA Version 2.60
There are 2 files in the folder .spamassassin(auto-whitelist.dir and 
auto-whitelist.pag)
The permissions are ok. (777, to the test)
Running the script as root.
The script check_whitelist contains an entry auto-whitelist, not *.pag or *.dir.

And now?
