I have been following this list for about 2 weeks. From what I have been reading here, it is possible to run a private blacklist at the MTA level somehow using bind. I use RH8, DNS, sendmail, procmail, and spamassassin. I have eliminated my worst offenders by maintaining my access.db to REJECT by periodically grepping the From lines in mail marked up as spam, isolating the domain names and sorting. There was some reference to installing a community compiled list and having sendmail access it through my local DNS to do the rejects (I think). This seems like a much better solution. Has anyone put together a how-to that covers the setup from a-z that can be applied to my setup?
I would like to thank the Spamassissin team for this excellent application. Without it, mail service at my site would be (and was) a nightmare.
