We use qmail, vpopmail, and qmail-scanner(also spamassassin but it's not relevant to this question). We're finding that emails forwarded through qmail to Hotmail accounts are getting picked up by Hotmail's enhanced spam filter. These are simple text emails and Hotmail does not add any headers that would indicate the reason for filtering. Is Hotmail (owned by Microsoft) just picking on Qmail or is it something else? Mail forwarded through our Sendmail servers is treated normally.
Is the qmail mail being sent through the same IP address that your sendmail system uses? Hotmail doesn't allow dynamic IPs to send it email.
