It is unclear from the manpage and FAQ if the following applies:

Is there a way to configure it so that `spamassassin -r` will log
something, for example, in /var/log/spamassassin.log?  When I pipe a
message in PINE (MUA) through this command, there is no way to tell of success.

It would be superb if there were a way to have Spamassassin "auto purge" a
[system-wide] folder (PINE single file) of multiple messages periodically,
(i.e. automatically pipe single messages through `spamassassin -r` one by
one).
