This is my first week with SpamAssassin, so I may be missing something
obvious, but the message I've attached sections of below puzzled me.
While the body report scores it at 7.1 points, the X-Spam-Status in
the header only gives it 1.8 - this is the first time I've seen the
two differ. Is this common behavior? Did I misconfigure something?

It looks like this message was run through spamassassin twice.

Due to the "encapsulate spam" behavior of spamassassin, the second time through typicaly scores lower, because the headers are different, and a larger amount of non-html text is present. This is consistent with the difference in rules match in the body compared with the rules matched in the spam-status header.

Typicaly this kind of thing happens if you run SA on both a primary and secondary MX, or you've integrated SA twice on the same mailserver (ie: calling SA from both a milter and from procmail).
