I suspect you'll need to integrate SA at the MTA layer instead of procmail to make this happen. Procmail is called as the mail is delivered to a local user, but that part never happens for mail that is relayed.

However, if you use a tool like spamass-milter, amavis or other MTA layer tool, It will be scanned as soon as it arrives, regardless of where it is going.

Personally, I'm a proponent of scanning "as local as possible".. Mostly so that problems with the spam filtering can be dealt with locally, rather than having to track back and contact the administrator of another network.

A prime example of spam filtering gone awry on a mailing list is this very list. Sourceforge does spam scanning on this list and will bounce messages containing the infamous drug whose name begins with "V". Unfortunately this makes discussion of rules very difficult on this list, which really _should_ contain postings that have the "V" word in them. Fixing this problem involves complaining to another network admin and relying on him to fix it. If the problem were with my own mailserver's scanning it'd be fixed in a few minutes, instead of a few days or not at all.

However, if your mail list users all want scanning, that's fine, it's just something I'd make sure is a good idea before implementing it.
