The first problem may be endianness.  2.5x is endian specific, so if
you went to a different platform, that may be an issue.  The second
problem (more likely) is DB libraries are incompatible.  You may want
to a DB dump (using whatever DB tools are valid for your DB format),
then import on the new machine.  Berkeley DB has some tools for that,
I don't know about the others.
