Is there a problem with my rules, above? Or is it that sa isn't reading rules from local.cf? I can't add this to my user_prefs because I'm using qmail with virtual domains so there aren't specific users I can use here.
There doesn't seem to be any problems with those rules.
Have you run spamassassin --lint lately to see if it is getting confused by something else in your configfile?
That's what is bugging me. Running --lint shows nothing, and -D --lint shows nothing out of the ordinary. Specifically, it mentions:
debug: using "/usr/share/spamassassin" for default rules dir
debug: using "/etc/mail/spamassassin" for site rules dir
debug: using "/home/posixnap/.spamassassin" for user state dir
debug: using "/home/posixnap/.spamassassin/user_prefs" for user prefs file
debug: using "/home/posixnap/.spamassassin" for user state dir
(posixnap is my virtual domain, which qmail serves)
the /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file is a symlink to /home/posixnap/.spamassassin/user_prefs. It seems to be seeing that file, because I set my threshold to 4.0 (from 5.0) in local.cf (user_prefs), and messages which are 4.0+ are indeed flagged as spam. So it would seem to be something about the way I've made those rules.
Does it look like those rules match the headers? To reiterate,
the rules:
header AMIKA_SPAM X-AmikaGuardian-Action =~ /Junk Mail/
score AMIKA_SPAM 2
the header:
X-AmikaGuardian-Action: Trigger(Junk Mail)
I've also got some rules that would be blocking those damn Nigerian spams if I could get SA to use them.
Thanks,
alex
