I never saw a reply to this. 
1) Will future SA versions ever have a built in OBFU function like mentioned
above? Seems like a good idea.

2) What is the preferred method of looking for gappy text? I have used .?
and I don't think that is the best. [-_*/\. ] is probably better to use.
