Let me state up front that I don't have alot of experiance installing
packages on Linux (but I am trying).

I've got SA2.6 installed (it compiled cleanly) and appears to be working
(well, the sa-learn I feed an mbox of saved spams worked ok). How do I
get SA to actually begin checking the email coming into this system?

This is a small machine with only a handful of users running RH Linux 8
w/ sendmail. I do have MySQL installed (use that for Horde/Imp), but do
not really care whether the individual preferences are saved there or in
the ~/.spamassassin location (I'll do whichever is 'better' and easier).

I want SA to run by default for everyone (ie. I want sendmail to call
it, not have everyone call it from a .procmailrc script). I would like
the bayes learning & preferences to be user-by-user.

Reading the docs, I *think* what I want is to use the spamd/spamc
option, right? So when reading
   http://www.spamassassin.org/dist/spamd/README.spamd
I get to the part where it says:
Simply copy the two executables to where you want them. Then,
configure your system to run spamd in the background, and where
your mailer invokes 'spamassassin' instead invoke 'spamc'. It's
      that easy!

      There's a Red Hat/Mandrake-style startup script called
'spamassassin' in this directory, suitable for installation
      in /etc/rc.d/init.d .

Hmm. How do I "configure my system to run spamd in the background" and
where does the mailer "invoke spamassassin" that I would change to
spamc? (see, I told you I didn't have alot of experiance)
