Im running a RH 9.0 box with Postfix +Amavis-new +clamav and Spamassassin.
Here is my question: When I run amavisd-new in debug mode, these lines pop out at me:
Jul 29 14:19:24 corpmail amavisd[1126]: SpamControl: initializing Mail::SpamAssassin
Jul 29 14:19:24 corpmail amavisd[1126]: SpamControl: turning on SA auto-whitelisting (AWL)
Failed to create default user preference file /var/amavis/.spamassassin/user_prefs
Ok...so it found SpamAssassin, but failed on the user_prefs. Here is where im a bit confused.
I have two places where spamassassin is installed. (I should mention, I installed spamassassin via perl -MCPAN)
here is where they are located:

Ok..so I have SA located in /etc/mail/spamassassin and another located in /var/amavis/.spamassassin
Can someone explain to me why this is and what is the recommend method?
