dns_available test: server1.ltd, etc.
Can someone clarify how to set this up?
It's actualy .tld, not ltd..
In general what you do is instead of "server1.tld" specify some domain that you want SA to perform a MX record lookup for via dns.
So in your case you might do:
dns_available test: optonline.net
Which would send a MX query for optonline.net to your local resolver, which presumably will ask your ISP's dns server for the answer. If the authoritative DNS server for "optonline.net" is within your ISP's local network with fast access, this check should run quite quickly.
If you specify multiple names, it will try several of them in a round-robin fashion to "spread the load" rather than always trying the same query. If you're doing a localized domain this really shouldn't be useful to you.
Just make sure whatever you specify is resolvable via a MX record query, as opposed to an A record query.
