... or Martijn Bevelander again.

Summary (cos the sites are Dutch sites and the lingo is mostly Dutch :)

For those who haven't been following the Martijn Bevelander saga, he's one of the biggest [mega]spammers in the world (Cyberangels.nl, megaproviders.nl - .nl is "Dutchland", where I live) and people (like the British BBC national radio net) have been discovering this and reporting on it. He changes his telco as the wind blows, last time I read about the telco, it was the Spanish national one that chucked him out.

This time, the Dutch ISP association has chucked him out.

Putting pressure on ISPs to cut off services to downstream ISPs who spam *will* work. Legislation against individual spammers will *never* work.

See how neat Megaproviders' site is laid out, with links to some of the best-known names around here to give him credibility? What would his customers/subscribers experience, when the aggregate RBLs (like the notorious Jared's OSIRUS) make mailing impossible?

I love the music of Wagner. The only sound that
pleases me more is that of a cat outside my 9th
floor window, trying to cling to the glass with
its claws.
