An interesting point, but I would think that it would work no different than any other Anglocentric rule, if the message is not English it would not be called. In the worst case I would think that even foreign language ham/spam would generate different grammar foot prints, I have never run French text through an English grammar checker, results could be amusing. Hopefully, I might get a couple hours this weekend to see what open source grammar checking might be out there and maybe pull some spam/ham samples from the public corpus and see what comes out.
