I've noticed something strange with SA :
* I run SA release "one inch in centimeters" (i.e. 2.54).
Please note that this only applies to UK inches, not Norwegian inches (toemmer,) which again are different from Danish inches (toemme) and anyway is only an approximation to 2 decimal places, etc. etc.
* I've received a spam which has hot a score of 3.3 (see at the end of the mail)
* I pass it through the Bayesian classifier using : % sa-learn --spam --file ./SpamMsg.txt I expect this action to increase the score of the message. Nope ! See after.
* when running spamassassin in test mode, the spam score is now 3.1, not more than 3.3 as I've expected :

Who has an explanation to this counter-intuitive behaviour ?
Maybe you haven't initiated your Bayes database yet (needs a minimum of 200 non-hams to initiate.) I don't see any reference to BAYES_?? in your results.
"counter intuitive" is in the eye of the beholder, like "beauty." "counter intuitive" is a euphemism coined by the greatest con man of the century, who runs the greatest con outfit of the century (there were greater prior to him.) To me, everything to do with Unix, including Perl and SA, is intuitive.
