I've seen several ways to feed Bayes so far and I was wondering if there was any way that I could improve my method. I'm using Postfix/Courier with maildir boxes, no user accounts on the mail server. Everything is handled with mysql. "/home/vmail/$domain/$user/.maildir" is where mail goes.
What I've been doing is going into my own .maildir, tarring up my .SPAM directory, copying it to the SpamAssassin box, untarring it, and running sa-learn against it.
Is there a better way to do this? Are there any drawbacks to what I'm doing? So far it seems to be working ok, albeit a bit time consuming. Fortunately I have plenty of free time these days.. ;)
Thanks!
