So razor and dcc and pyzor are not installed by default, do you have a preference on which works the best or do they all perform different functions?
They perform similar but not quite the same function.. really for an overview, look at the hit rates and S/O for these rules in the STATISTICS.txt file that comes with SA.. IIRC Razor has a much higher hit rate than DCC, but roughly the same S/O ratio (This ratio measures spam hits vs overall hits and is a measure of accuracy. A perfect spam rule has a S/O of 1.0)
While I got your attention :) Is bayes installed by default and do I need to install a DB for it to be used?
Well, it's installed and should be enabled by default, but will not take effect until at least 200 spam and 200 nonspam messages have been learned. Eventually the auto-learning will kick this many in, but it is better to just feed sa-learn a bunch of spam and nonspam messages.
